About Ruth Cane

I believe we can all make a positive difference in our leadership, and in the world, through developing our self-awareness and emotional intelligence and thinking beyond ourselves to the wider environment to identify what we need to do, and doing it.

All we need is someone to think with, to encourage and support us, to help us stay focused and, when things get tough and we feel stuck, to remind us of what we set out to achieve and why.

For over 25 years I have been helping individuals and organisations strengthen their leadership capability by developing the skills, qualities and behaviours to succeed.  Having held senior L&D and Organisational development roles in large organisations I now work independently providing bespoke leadership development programmes, executive and career coaching. I frequently facilitate international transformational leadership programmes with the Windsor Leadership Trust and provide coaching and leadership development services on behalf of the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives.

I am a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD) and member of Thames Valley CIPD. I am also a member of the Association for Coaching and of the Career Counselling Services (CCS) Alumni Network.

I hold an MSc in Policy Studies, Diploma in Human Resource Management, NTL Certificate in Organisational Development, ILM 7 Certificate in Executive Coaching and Mentoring, Certificate in Career Counselling (CCS), Certificate in Management and Certificate in Management Consulting.

I am a trained JCA Global Emotional Intelligence Coach; have trained and practised as an Insights Discovery coach and facilitator and am a trained Image Consultant.
